This Privacy Policy explains how Sapphire Grove LLC, doing business as Velvet Rook (“Velvet Rook,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit velvetrook.com (the “Site”), contact us, or use an assessment, quiz, guide, calculator, or other interactive resource we offer (each, a “Tool”).

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect information such as:

Your name and email address
Your phone number, when requested
Your website or social media profile URL
Your stated goals, interests, preferences, or responses to questions
Business information you choose to provide, such as sales, client, marketing, or operational information
Information contained in messages or inquiries you send us
Purchase, transaction, and billing-related information when you purchase a product or subscription, although payment card information may be collected and processed directly by our payment provider rather than Velvet Rook

The information requested varies by Tool or form. Not every Tool collects every type of information listed above. Please do not provide sensitive personal information through a Tool or form unless the applicable feature specifically requests that information.

Some Tools may ask you to provide business figures or other information in order to generate a score, result, recommendation, or resource. Information you provide may also be displayed back to you as part of your results.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information may be collected automatically through analytics, hosting, and performance technologies.

Depending on the service, this may include:

Pages viewed and interactions with the Site
Referring source
Browser and device information
Approximate geographic information
Technical and performance information
Information about how visitors find and use the Site

Some of this information may be aggregated or de-identified.

Submitted URLs

Our Website Visibility Check visits the page you submit, following up to three redirects, and reads only the page’s search engine instructions: its response headers and the opening section of its code. It does not crawl other pages, scrape, or store the page’s content. Other Tools do not automatically visit or analyze a URL you submit.

Unless a specific Tool expressly tells you otherwise, URLs submitted through the Site are stored for our own review, such as evaluating an inquiry or prospective client.

If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and the disclosures associated with the relevant Tool before using submitted URLs for materially different automated analysis.

How we use information

We may use information we collect to:

Provide the Tool, result, score, resource, or other information you requested
Respond to inquiries and communicate with you
Send communications directly related to a Tool or request you submitted
Evaluate and respond to prospective-client inquiries and interest in Velvet Rook’s services
Send educational, promotional, or marketing communications where permitted by law and consistent with your communication preferences
Operate, maintain, improve, and understand the Site and our Tools
Use automated or AI-assisted tools to support functions such as generating Tool outputs, summarization, classification, tagging, routing, drafting, or other internal workflows, where applicable

Maintain business and prospective-client records
Detect, investigate, or troubleshoot errors, abuse, security issues, or failed communications
Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, users, and business

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those communications. If Velvet Rook offers marketing text messages, any consent required for those messages will be requested separately at the applicable point of collection. Providing a phone number through a general inquiry or Tool does not by itself constitute consent to receive automated marketing text messages.

How we disclose information

We may disclose personal information to third parties that help us operate our business and provide the Site and our Tools.

We do not currently use personal information collected through the Site for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our advertising practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any rights or choices required by applicable law.

Cookies and analytics

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, functionality, security, and performance.

We currently use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to help us understand how visitors find and use the Site and to measure Site traffic and performance. Depending on the service and its configuration, these analytics providers may process information such as Site activity, page views, referring sources, device and browser information, approximate geographic information, and other usage or performance information. Our use of Google Analytics is intended for analytics and performance measurement. We do not currently use Google Analytics advertising features for remarketing or personalized advertising.

Google also provides information about options for limiting Google Analytics measurement, including its browser opt-out tools.

We may also use privacy-focused, cookie-free, or aggregated analytics and performance services to understand Site traffic and technical performance.

We may change or add analytics providers from time to time. We will update this Privacy Policy when a change materially affects the information we collect, how we use or disclose it, or the rights or choices available to users.

Google Search Console may provide us with information about how the Site appears and performs in Google Search. It does not operate as a visitor-facing analytics tool installed on the Site in the same manner as Google Analytics.

You can control or limit cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through any privacy controls provided on the Site.

Marketing communications

Providing your contact information to receive a Tool, assessment result, guide, or other requested resource may result in communications directly related to that request.

We may also send educational, promotional, or marketing communications where permitted by applicable law.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the email. We may continue to send non-marketing communications when reasonably necessary, such as communications related to an active request, transaction, client relationship, or legal obligation. If we offer marketing text messages, we will provide any consent and opt-out disclosures required for the applicable messaging program.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
